We arrived at Himmat nagar in Gujarat, covering a separation of more than 850 km on the very beginning. We went through the night in Hotel Milestone, on the fundamental parkway with an arrangement to begin ahead of schedule following day as the children were anxious to arrive at goa as quickly as time permits . 6.00a.m.started our excursion with an aim to cross Panvel and get as near Goa as could reasonably be expected. Furthermore, here comes the parkways, exceptionally overall quite all around kept up ,felt extremely glad . We arrived at Thane around 5.00pm and then began the extraordinary disarray, the streets got wrecked and we lost great two hours in getting the correct course. Our GPS excessively got confounded. At last we crossed Panvel and proceeded onward to obscure towns and towns .Now we were edgy to locate a respectable lodging, yet the spots we crossed had a dull frequenting look, as the nearby individuals had considered it daily. Despite the fact that, there were lodgings yet we didn't know about them. At that point we requested that a couple of retailers propose an inn. We were guaranteed that we can look into any inn we run over in transit. They are generally sheltered however the administrations would be exceptionally essential. It was around 9.pm at this point, tired and frantic, we concluded that we will enter the principal inn that goes ahead the way … .Finally in Mane gaon (Maharashtra) we remained in essential inn( Hotel Open Umbrella, a family claimed lodging cum outdoors restaurant). This day we secured around 750km. Spots secured included Ahmadabad By pass-Vadodara by pass-Panvel – Thane – Panvel – Manegaon.
10.a.m.started once more, after a generous breakfast, to arrive at Goa (400km) .On the manner in which the picturesque excellence of Maharashtra entranced us. Green feilds fixed with coconut trees and the western Ghats, all made the excursion commendable… These are the things that make the excursion extraordinary .Around 5.00 pm we entered the outskirts of Goa , by 7.00p.m.we looked into a retreat (Primo Bom) at Baga sea shore ( We had been to this hotel during our last visit to Goa in 2012). Separation secured during the day was around 400 km.
We remained in Goa for 5 days visiting zest garden, Palolem sea shore, Dhudh sagar falls, Aguda post and so forth appreciating in the spirits of Goa.
We began the bring venture back. Our arrangement was to take an alternate course, visiting Pune, Mumbai and Shirdi . We took a course to Pune by means of Savantwari, Pune-Bangaluru interstate, indeed a lovely, Sceanic street and arrived at Pune before sun-down (approx. 450 km). We had our supper at one of our companions place and went through the night at Hotel Cocoon, in Magarpatta. I was visiting Pune following 25 years ( I did my Engineering from D.Y.Patil College, Pimpri, in 1990).Pune had experienced a virtual make over in every one of these years, I couldn't find the streets, which we had utilized back then. A great deal of grrenery has been lost and the spot had extended a ton, with endless flyovers, new streets and municipalities. About present day Pune, one can without much of a stretch name it the city Of traffic Signals (After like clockwork one can see a sign..)
Subsequent to visiting my school (and going through some nostalgic minutes), we headed towards Mumbai, around 12.30 pm. The Mumbai-Pune interstate (Which has been changed over to a magnificent Expressway) additionally had changed altogether and we arrived at edges of Mumbai right away. Indeed, even Mumbai has extended, yet improved a great deal since my school days. The streets and Traffic were vastly improved. We crossed Navi Mumbai in spite of the fact that we saw numerous great lodgings (which I accept was an error) and at long last needed to go through the night in an inn close to Airport (Hotel landmass Grand-a serious costly inn).
Visited Gateway of India and passed through Sea link(Worli-bandra). Around 2.30 p.m. we began our excursion to Shirdi through Thane and Nasik By-pass. By and by an excellent picturesque street. Visited a grape plantation with heaps of grapes, likewise on the course, took hardly any brief breaks for photography and tea and arrived at Shirdi at 7.30p.m.Stay was at Hotel Gsquare simply inverse the Shrine Gate. We remained for one more day to recover our endurance and unwind. The separation between Mumbai and Shirdi is around 250 km.
From here we wanted to take our return venture through M.P.(indore).We began around 10.a.m. also, took public expressway 3, a solitary path parkway with a considerable amount of traffic, progress was moderate and frustating. We lamented the choice yet couldn't retreat as we secured a generous distance.(Shirdi-Dhule-Indore-Dewas-Shajapur).We began to search for lodgings around 7pm, however couldn't find a fair spot (this stretch has generally little municipalities with little choices for good inns) .Finally at shajapur we got a room in PWD rest house, sufficiently clean to go through a night, exceptionally appreciative to the man to permit us to remain. The separation secured during the day was 525 km.
Begun for Gwalior around 8.30a.m.(shajapur-Guna-Shivpuri-Gwalior, a separation of about 400km. We arrived at Gwalior at 6.p.m.and remained at (Hotel Tansen). We did some touring at night and following day. The most energizing part was the Light and Sound show in Gwalior stronghold just four of us were inside the fortress, on a chilly, foggy and dull night, for the show.
Day15(15th January): Gwalior-Murena-Agra-Mathura-Yamuna turnpike Noida-Delhi
A day ago of the outing .We began the last stretch to Delhi arriving at home by 10.30 pm.
5000km of sheer joy of driving and seeing India through its interstates was an extraordinary encounter for us. Immense spans of Gujarat and rich green fields of Maharashtra, dry grounds of Madhya Pradesh .
I would be glad to answer any questions around street quality or around our driving experience.
